Please don't state things you do not know anything about. Linkin Park have not saved metal, infact, as many people are concerned, they aren't even a metal band. They aren't even really a rock band. They are more of a pop band. Also, Linkin Park are not innovators or the pioneers of any genre. They are simply rehashing what other bands have done before. Linkin Park was not the first to blend rap with rock. Rage Against the Machine, Korn, 311, and many others did it better and before Linkin Park. Sure, I can admit that Linkin Park are successful, but does that mean they are creative? No. Their songwriting skills are severely lacking. Every single one of their songs sound exactly the same and the average garage band could write better music than Linkin Park. Their songs have a relatively simple structure; A simple syn beat, some easy drop D power chords, and a catchy chorus. Also, their lyrics are fake and void of any sort of emotion. They are the sort of thinga junior-high student would write in a notebook. But aren't the guys in Linkin Park a little older than that? You think they would've graduated to High School lyrics at least. Nope, they are content with poor writing and poor delivery. As to throwing out my metal albums, I don't think so. Linkin Parks CD's are certainly the worst in my collection, an can in no way measure up to my coveted essential albums by Opeth, Slayer, Agalloch and Decapitated.

To anyone looking to buy these albums: My advice to you is graduate to a better style of music, and leave your Middle School days behind.
