AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
Linkin Park's latest CD effort is an excellent but flawed CD.
Browsing through the songs, you might see why.
1. Foreword (Not a song so not rated)
2. Don't Stay (8/10) The first song on the CD is strong with good vocals and guitar. It sets the tone for the rest of the album.
3. Somewhere I Belong (10/10) One of the best songs on the album. Not only are the vocals and music good, but the lyrics don't focus on an old or current hated love, like about 8 of the other songs on the CD.
4. Lying from you (6/10) I didn't like this song because I hate it when Mike raps. He needs to stick to guitar and let Chester do the vocals, because he ruins a good beat with his monotone voice.
5. Hit the floor (8/10) One of the few songs when Mike takes lead vocals that actually turns out ok. The synth mix in this song is strong and the vocals aren't overly plain.
6. Easier to run (10/10) the best song on the CD with powerful lyrics and strong music/vocals.
7. Faint (7/10) A good song that was one of the album's five singles. Very popular but also sounds very similar to several previous LP songs.
8. Figure .09 (9/10) Following with the repetetiveness of the CD lyric wise, this song still rocks. Great chorus on this one.
9. Breaking the habit (10/10) The most recent single off the CD is a great song that is perhaps the most unusual. The fast dance beat has almost no heavy guitar, and it works well because it is unexpected and great by itself.
10. From the inside (7/10) I wasn't thrilled by this song, it was more of the same and sounded very similar to Hit the floor
11. Nobody's Listening (6/10) For God's sake, someone send a memo to Mike: "YOU CAN NOT RAP!!!" This useless song has no right to be on the CD and wouldn't have been more than a 3 had it not been for Chester's decent chorus.
12. Session (8/10) Fine I guess, but why didn't the band make a full song on here?
13: Numb (9/10) A good song that sounds too similar to 'Crawling' to get a perfect 10. Strong nonetheless. A good way to close out the CD

Overall, Most songs were very good, however, Mike's raps and a huge repetetiveness of lyrics bring this one down from a perfect 5. Still worth a buy depsite it's flaws.
