Meteora

Great CD, but very short

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
Okay, I'll start off by saying I like this CD a lot, just as much as I liked the first. I'd consider them equal, one isn't really better than the other, but that isn't a complaint! It is really very short, which disappointed me, but it's worth the buy.

Foreword: 13 seconds of weirdness.

Don't Stay: Not a bad song, good rap/rock combination, but not one of my very favs. Three and a half stars.

Somewhere I Belong: I really like this song. It's a song you can really get into--very cool! Five stars.

Lying from you: Good song with nice lyrics and beat. Four and a half stars

Hit the Floor: One of my favorite. The group is at their best here. The rap is hightly captivating, with intervals of singing. You can't help but sing along. Five stars.

Easier to Run: I don't hate it, but it's not all that great. The softer stuff just isn't them. Two stars.

Faint: It's okay. A good song, but not great. Three and a half stars.

Figure.09: My comments are basically the same as for the song above, but this song is better. Four stars.

Breaking the Habit: Another of my favorites. Different, but very cool. The six years they spent on it were well worth it. Five stars.

From the Inside: Not my favorite, but not bad. Three and a half stars.

Nobody's Listening: My other favorite. The combo of rap lyrics and the Japanese flute gives it a different, enthralling sound. Five stars.

Session: Sort of weird. I think I liked their first instrumental song better, it had a better beat. Three stars.

Numb: Three stars. Another of my not-so-favorites.

All in all, this album is worth buying if you were a fan of the first one, but it isn't better or worse.
