Turned onto LP because of it.

I hate this C.D. Always have always will. It's always been on one of my lists of terrible C.D.s. Every time I've listened to it, I was mad at the incredible lack of originality. I think it is a definate sell out. So why is it so bad? Hybrid Theory's songs, "remixed" on Reanimation, are almost exactly the same! It's almost as if Linkin Park did a "copy and paste" and called it a new album. Almost exactly the same vocals, guitars, lyrics, structure, overal sound, etc. The only difference in the songs are the occasional skip or break in voice during singing. Couple this with a couple of really dumb skits (i.e.: a ten second message left on a message machine to one of the members of Linkin Park), a couple new songs, and terrible spelling of those songs, and you have Reanimation.
The reason Reanimation managed to get 2 stars is because of it's decent guest appearances by stars (John Davis from Korn, Aaron Lewis from Staind). If you collect everything by Korn or Staind, download the songs in which they appear. Also, the few new songs, such as My Own December and High Voltage, are for Linkin Park fans only (and I even know some fans who don't like My Own December). Linkin Park used these two tactics as selling points, in order to make the album more interesting.
This album is more techno-rap, less rock. Sometimes it seems as if the guitars are completely left out of the music. LP needed to stop touring and write the new album, Meteora. And, although it may be something to listen to during the down time between Hybrid Theory and Meteora, I still think it was a greedy move to release this C.D. Buy it if you are a big, hardcore Linkin Park fan. Otherwise, do not reward Linkin Park for this. And go ahead, give me the "not helpful" vote, I'm just warning those who like good music.
