Review Score:

(10/10)
I waited for Linkin Park Reanimation for a long long time, and my expectation was so high, I thought i'd be let down, but I was still greatly suprised, not because of how good it was, but becuase of what the content was. All the songs remixes are original and differant and every track has it's own feel. The remixers chosen were obviously very talented and the guest rappers are also on par with amazing. They bring a whole new feel to the songs. This CD is the next step of the "Hybrid Theory", meshing rock and rap to a new degree. I do not mind about all the hip hop, I like hip hop as well as alternate rock.
And all the reviewers saying papercut and in the end sound exactly the same didn't actually BUY the album, but downloaded a few tracks, which I also did, but bought the album ANYWAY, an pleasently found the tracks on the net were fakes and not really from the album.
The opening feature chello and viola played by pheonix that is the same used in the last song, crawling, which is a nice way to start of.
The points of authority remix is very industrial and is highly enjoyable.
In the end is an awesome hip hop remix, with great production, and awesome rapping from both parties involved. Definately leans towards the hip hop scope of this album. These two will releasing their own album in august 20th, and I will sure keep an ear out for it.
Forgotten is a strange track that has a kind of haunting dark rap feeling to it and the guest rapper from Jurassic 5, although sounding strange, has something to say.
Pushing me away is a good reinterpretation with new singing, new guitars and a guest singer, who sounds slightly odd, the lead singer from taproot, place for my head is an OK remix. It is quite enjoyable, but is no the most enjoyable song on the album by far.
X-ecutioner style is not very enjoyable and in my opinion, this is the weakest rapper on the cd. Just skip this track if you've got the remote already in your hand, otherwise, let it play, it's not too long.
High Voltage is an excellant rap song, couples with a strong guest rapper, the undergorund talent of pharoah monch, who I have heard much of before.
With you, with new guitars and screaming, is an awesome rock rap workout, with an awesome sounding rapper, aceyalone, who almost sounds like he could be a nu-metal rapper on his own.
Papercut is an awesome remix, and has a very good chorus and a good rapper. One of my favourite songs on the album, with very good production.
Runaway is a cool song, with a new rapper and differant chorus this is worth numerous listens.
By myslef is a simply produced song with no new rapper or anything, just the whole song remixed with new guitars and i s a rock rap workout to the fullest. One of the best and fastest hardest songs on the album.
cure for the itch remix is cool, bring in elements from the song points of authority and even 'step up' from the HYBRID THEORY EP. Definately brought some memories back and was recorded at his parents house (Cool!).
1 step closer is an awesome remix which the chorus is delayed and when it finally hits, it is awesome and was pleasently suprised that Jonathon Davis's contribution is awesome and really adds to the feeling, the last song crawling featuring the same cello and viola in the intro, is mindblowing. The duet with Aaron Lewis is awesome and the song ends perfectly.
Lastly, my december is an awesome slow somber song, although I would have like to hear more of the female singer kelli ali, or something like that.
Overall, an EXCELLENT album i will be in heavy rotation for a long time to come. A mindblowing mix of rap and rock, seamlessly integrated into a single amazing cd.
Worth every penny.
