My least favorite Madonna album

I don't know what prompted me to buy this, since I already had two of the best songs on here(Take a Bow, Secret) and the lackluster Forbidden Love. Maybe it was because I found it used on here and loved the artwork-anyhow, the album disappointed me, except for Secret, Take a Bow, Human Nature, and Sanctuary.
The album opens with Survival(3/5), an unknown song of hers that has her sounding very melancholy. Made me feel sorry for her. However, she picks up the pace with Secret(6/5) which I have always loved. The album slides down with the worst track on here, I'd RAther Be Your Lover(2/5) Lyrically this reminds me of Justify My Love, which was superb, but this one is just bland and lacks substance. Next is the dance number Don't Stop(4/5) It's a little repetitive, but nice to get you movin'! Inside of Me(2/5) is drowned out by the heavy breathing in the background and is NOT a good song about her mother- I'll take Promise to Try, Mer Girl, or Mother and Father any day. Human Nature(6/5) is an awesome track-and this is the DIRTY version*giggles* not the clean one on GHV2. Track 7 is Forbidden Love(3/5) this appeared on STR and i don't know why. It wasn't a hit, and it isn't that memorable. Love Tried to Welcome Me(4/5) is a nice ballad that was never a hit, along with the beautiful Sanctuary(6/5) which SHOULD have been a hit, or if she was gonna have non hits on STR should have been on in place of Forbidden Love. Track 10 is Bedtime Stories(3/5), which is Madonna's only lackluster title track. Track 11 is Take a Bow(6/5) which is the exact same as on STR. It closes up Madonna's most lackluster album. Overall Grade-89/100 B+
What's good on here is Great, and what's bad isn't terrible. All in all, I'd recommend Something to Remember or Erotica over this, but I'd still recommend this album. It's not bad in the least, but it's not her best by far.
