The madonna we know from the 80's is long gone, material girl? thats a thing of the past, and as for the erotica phase, well madonna never really went spiraling back into the whole "sex" thing after that. Her cd after erotica gives us a cool refreshing look at the madonna we know today. Not that all her other albums werent immaculate(pun intended, lol), but i like, like a suprisingly few amount of people prefer the madonna of today more than 80s madonna, if u r one of those peopple, this record is probably for u. The first track survival, not the best track, but a fine one, showuing us she'll "live to tell" what shes gone through, and what shell eventually go through. Next up is one of four gems off the cd, i think all the singles off this album are the best songs off the cd, thids song is one of her greatest songs, "secret". Secret is a fantastic song with great vocals and a terrific beat, but still somehow remains /beautiful and soothing. Thew third track although i like, i must say is the worst track on the album, it has something about it that kind of pushes us backward into the erotica phase, which again i thought was good, but also unlike erotcas stuff, pretty [bad] lyrics in some parts of the song. the fourth song Dont stop is a cool dance song, and is one of the best non-single songs on the album along with the softer "inside of me", the fifth track on the album. The next track is " Human Nature", a terrific song with a great r&b feel to it, unfortuanatly it didnt fare very welll in the charts. Forbidden love is the seventh song, in my opinion this is the best non-single song of the entire album, even better than don't stop. Lovce tried to welcome me, track 8, is a soothing tragic love song, a great listen when ur depressed, hehe. Santctuary, the ninth track , with eerie lyrics and sounds and a cool beat, shows us what is about to come - Bedtime story. Bedtime story, like human nature and rol"s Nothing really matters, is a fantastic song with an amazing over the top video that the overall public just cant see for what it is, great, just because its something new and different, not like everything else on the radio and MTV. Bedtime story, with itsa oncredible sound effects, and madonnas innocent sounding woice make this surreal track and video some of madonnas best work of her carrer and show us what we could expect on her next studio albums, rol and music. The final track on this great cd is the nu,mber one hit "Take A Bow." After listening to it, i understood its incredible success, its soothing sounds and tragic love story pull u in, and lets not forget the video with its great acting and direction as well as one of madonnas prettiest looks. Overall,this is a fantastic, but often misunderstood madonna album, if ur a fan, whether how big or small, get this album!!! If not then u might want to get both GHV2 and the IMMACULATE collection and hear what this diva has to offer.
