The 90's was the decade of alternative music. It was totally different from the 80's when easy listening dance songs lead the charts. Madonna entered the pop scene then and when times changed she did not release any albums for years. She did it well I think. She waited until 98, and borrowed the music motives and topics from performers that made success in the past few years. But I don't really think it is enough to say its a good CD. It is not. It is not bad, but if we compare it to what it follows then we can say it is weak. It is programmed music, and to make it interesting we get some guitar motives occasionally. Madonna does not play too much with her voice while performing, she sings the same way all the songs, a bit powerless and sadly but clearly. Altough it is not her ground, this CD has positive side also. She has the skill of making radio friendly music and at this time she proved it again!
If you would like to hear something impressing and new forget about it, but if you only want to put something easy to sing along music in your car-disc player it is your choice.
The lyrics are very simply just like the music!...
