Ray of Light secures Madonna's place in pop culture not only as a sex symbol, but also as a musical and lyrical genius as well. While not as challenging as Music, this is debatably Madonna's most personal and introspective album to date.

Who knew that the trance-y trip-hop vibe Madonna flirted with on "Bedtime Stories" would come to define her sound during the late 1990s?

Stand-out tracks include the singles "Ray of Light," "Frozen" and "The Power of Goodbye" but not a single song on this album could be shrugged off as mere filler. Even if you don't like the album as a whole, you can still appreciate the heart and soul Madonna poured into every second of this CD.

A must-have CD in ANY music collection.
