Amazing and Essential! Perhaps Madonna's best CD to date. While most electronica music is interesting, yet cold; Ray of Light is warm and inviting. More than a collection of separate tracks, the music is cohesive and consistent. Madonna's vocals have never been better. Her voice is rich and expressive. The lyrics are introspective but not self indulgent. With the title track Madonna has you dancing with joy like she hasn't done since "into the groove". The only drawback is the last song "mer girl" which I find very boring and repetitive. I've owned this since it's release. Time and repeated playing has not dulled the experience at all.
