This is the first Madonna CD I've ever bought, and I'm so pleased. From beginning to end, this is a CD full of what I call "smart" techno. It's not the stupid techno that sounds all the same and has no lyrics. It's good stuff.

As we all know, this album marked the beginning of Madonna's spiritual/introspective period. I think it's a good thing. I think Madonna shines on this album. As a relatively new fan of Madonna's album, I can't compare this to her earlier albums, but I'm quite sure this will remain one of my favorites.

It's difficult to have a favorite track on this album, but Skin and To Have And Not To Hold would have to be the ones. Madonna says she set out to rock the dance floor with Skin, noting the way it starts out quietly, then ends in a frenzy. Another song to note would be Little Star, Madonna's song for her daughter Lourdes. It's sweet.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this CD to Madonna fans and techno/house fans. It definitely has some of the best music I've ever heard from her.
