Madonna has such a huge catalog of hit singles, to put all her greatest hits one cd (prior to "Ray of Light") would have been virtually impossible. I thought she did the right thing by putting all her slow songs (at the time of the release of the record) on one cd. I haven't listened to this cd in a long time and just threw this into my stereo recently. I still don't know what to think of Madonna's collaboration with Massive Attack on Marvin Gaye's "I Want You". I haven't heard the original version so I can't compare the two versions. Maybe I am just not feeling the song. Why there has to be two versions of "I Want You" on the cd is beyond me. One is enough for this listener. As much as I like "I'll Remember" from that forgettable movie "With Honors", the song has to be one of Madonna's cheesier ballads (next to This Used to Be My Playground"). On the brighter side, "You'll See" and "Take a Bow" are probably the strongest tracks on this compilation, along with "Live to Tell" and "Love Don't Live Here Anymore". Although I enjoyed "Something to Remember", I thought some of the songs (namely "Forbidden Love", "One More Chance", and the title track) were pretty forgettable to me.
