This is my favorite Madonna album, from both a music and sound standpoint. The recording quality is pristine -- some of the best in my 1000 albums. Whenever I audition new high-end equipment, this is one of the albums that I use (I typically use 10 to 12 albums). Babyface, the producer, has generally produced high quality albums, but this is one of his finer works. From a music standpoint, it is some of Madonna's most emotional music. Unfortunately, in this case, quality and emotion did not fire up the cash registers like the commercialized material of the like-a style songs. If you want to hear a better side of Madonna, and better sounding, try this album.
