Mandy Moore's doing it best

In a time when I find myself just purchasing one or two songs off an album from an online merchant, it is completely refreshing to find an album that I can listen to the entire way through.

I'll admit that I listened to a lot of the pop music that is now often derided (Mandy's early stuff, Nsync, Britney, etc), but I like to think that my tastes have grown. It sounds like Mandy Moore's tastes have also grown. With this album, she has introduced a whole new generation to what good songwriting was. It seems that people think that pop stars will only gain legitimacy when they write their own music, but I don't believe all great singers were made to be great songwriters and vice versa.

Mandy Moore has a great voice, and she has chosen great songs for this album. The songs are not the most radio-friendly because they lack the catchy hook that seems to be a requirement for Top 40 radio stations, but these songs' simple melodies will slowly grow on you.
