The good thing about this album is that it begins to show the improvements that are taking place for Mandy's vocals. Although, I don't think that this album really shows any potential. Most of this album is remixes. Don't get me wrong! I have NOTHING against remix albums. J-Lo's remix album, J TO THA L-O is excellent, but lets not get into that. The only songs that aren't are mostly ones from her last album, SO REAL. Sometimes, remixes can be better than the original song, have a different feeling, or interpret the artist's ideas that they are singing about in a new light. Most of these songs, though, I'm sorry to say...don't. At a glance - the songs of I WANNA BE WITH YOU:

The highlights of this album are definately "So Real", "Candy (Wade Robson Remix)", and "Everything My Heart Desires". "So Real" shows Mandy with stronger vocals, a great improvement from songs like "Walk Me Home", "Lock Me In Your Heart", etc. The remix of "Candy" is far superior to the original version (not included on this album). The remix has a hip hop beat which is more fun to dance to and goes with her vocals better than the softer, sugary pop beats of the original "Candy". The only complaint I have of "Candy" (both remix and original) is that I think Mandy tries too hard to sound 'strong'. She should stick with the vocals on tracks such as "So Real". "Everything My Heart Desires" is one of the better ones, mostly because of the background music and beats, Mandy's vocals are poorer on this track, sorry to say. The letdowns? "I Wanna Be With You", "Walk Me Home", "Lock Me In Your Heart" and "Your Face". Sorry vocals, poor beats, boring rhythms...

Yes Mandy, you are improving. And yes, your next album ,MANDY MOORE, is much better than these first two. Yes, you became a 'movie star'. But, sorry, you are not a diva, there's just too many blonde pop girls out there! P.S. - Her next album is much better, her vocals and beats are much improved, trust me. I would rate this album 2 1/2 stars and you're third 4 1/2 or 5.
