Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. But I gauruntee you that if she keeps releasing tracks such as "I Wanna Be With You" she will be around for years to come. Although a young talent there's a small spark there and it shows, if only a little on this disc. With all the recent pop craze out there I was curious and bought this cd. The opening track "I Wanna Be With You" is a great song, it really shows the power and feeling she has behind her voice. "Everything My Heart Desires" is a great "pop" song although she is leaning towards a dance feel (in some ways it reminds me of Jennifer Lopez) maybe not single worthy but a song which deserves some recognition. "Want You Back" showed her little experience in the music industry. Far from irritating, not a song I would want to hear play on the radio hourly. "The Way To My Heart" again hints at her little experience, but is an OK song. "So Real (Wade Robson Remix)" was a copy cat of every other remixed pop song out there. Very little effort went into making this track and it definatly lacks the presense of her voice comparing to the original. "Lock Me In Your Heart" was a very bad impression of Janet Jackson, I doubt this song will go very far if anywhere. "Walk Me Home" again like "I Wanna Be With You" definatly shows that the girl can sing, and sing well. The airplay on this track was well deserved. "I Like It"... I think the first thought that came to mind was "What was she thinking?". "So Real" is a great catchy tune, I would like to see this song get some airplay, great beat too. "Candy (Wade Robson Remix)" a remix of the track "Candy", that in itself shows she wasn't exactly motivated to make a great cd. Candy (the original) is about as bad as pop songs go and to remix it makes it just that much worse. "Your Face" seemed very empty, perhaps if the song didn't seem to suddenly "stop" so often it could be a good song. "I Wanna Be With You (Soul Solution Remix)" could have used a more original remix name. To put it quite simply this is not a song that is meant to sound dancey. That's like Celine Dion trying to sound like Madonna. It clashes a bit too much. Overall the cd was fairly well put together, there are several songs I did enjoy on it and I do hope she sticks around for a few years and builds on songs like "I Wanna Be With You" and "Walk Me Home".

Why listen to Britney when you can listen to Mandy

This CD was so nicely put together. Mandy has a really great voice. She's 16 and she sings like she is, unlike Britney who tries to sound 6 [ ... read complete review ]
