"I Wanna Be With You" is a beautiful song. It's a breathy ballad that certainly outshines the competition of today's top pop teeny-bopper love songs. And Mandy Moore gives it her best shot on her sophomore album.

However, to call it an actual "album" is pushing it. It is more an EP featuring five new songs, four songs from her debut album "So Real," and three unnecessary remixes. In essence, it's a greatest hits package, a unique approach for a sophomore album.

Moore by no means sets herself apart from the rest of the teen singers out there. Her voice is so thin, so light and so airy. The 16-year-old singer truly needs to build both her vocal range and abilities. She's better on faster, up-tempo songs because most of those songs require the singer to belt out a note or two, but on ballads it sounds as if she's taking her very last breath of life.

"I Wanna Be With You" is the only good song on the album. The four other new songs are so-so, but can be classified along with your everyday over-produced teen dance songs or ballads. "Walk Me Home," another ballad previously from the album "So Real," is sweet and stands out among the other songs.

Mandy Moore surely has her work cut out for her on her third album (if there is one). But let's cut her some slack, she's only 16! And it certainly sounds that way.
