As for the songs, most of them are pretty good. This is the album where Mandy starts to come into her own. Her voice is more confident, and the songs aren't typical teen pop. "In My Pocket" and "Crush" were both terrific singles. Both showcased Mandy in a much better light than when she first came onto the scene as a Britney wannabe in 1999. Mandy is actually being herself, and that makes her music much more enjoyable and entertaining. I like most of the other songs. I especially love "One Sided Love", "17", and "Yo-Yo". Some people really don't like "Split Chick", but I actually think it's pretty good.
Mandy proved with this album she wasn't interested in being the next Britney or Christina, she wanted to be Mandy instead. The result is a highly entertaining pop album that should have been a bigger hit. It's worth adding to your CD collection.
