Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore

Mandy, getting better and better!

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
I'll have to agree with most people here. This is her best album so far. It has a more grown-up feel than her last two albums and is utterly addicting. In this album, it has a middle eastern theme along with more poppy songs including a song she cowrote herself.

Song Reviews: (I grade on a basis in which it is difficult to earn a 5/5)

In My Pocket - Mandy's first single for this CD. A middle eastern themed song. Very catchy and fast. 4/5

You Remind Me - This song reminds me of a breezy open field in the Springtime or a quiet stroll in the country. Uptempo, poppy. 4/5

Saturate Me - "My soul is evaporating, won't you saturate me? ... Rain down on me with life" One of my favorite songs, although I think the very middle part of the song is a little bit unecessary. It reminds me of my great summer memories last year because I used to play it 24/7 back then. :) I -love- the lyrics. 4/5

One Sided Love - Fast, upbeat. Like 'In My Pocket,' (but not similar or congruent) with a more attitude-ish tint. One of the better fast songs. 4/5

17 - I love this song. It's one of my favorites. It has a great base and is very catchy. This is probably a song about how Mandy feels being seventeen. 5/5

Cry - Lovely song and voice. Not one of my absolute favorites, but it's still a pleasure to listen to and sing along with. 4/5

Crush - Catchy song that I and everyone else can relate to once in a while. 4/5

It Only Took A Minute - A good catchy song. Not one of my favorites, but still good. 4/5

Turn The Clock Around - One of my favorite songs. Reminds me of so many experiences and settings. Like walking on a cozy street in a foreign country on a sunny day. 4/5

Yo Yo - Another quality song. Very catchy and meaningful. 4/5

From Loving You - I based one of my short stories on this song. Very good.

Split Chick - Silly and fun song. I swear I heard it on a commerical once. Love the lyrics. "I can run as fast as the boys. I can sing and dance ballet... I can hold my breath forever. I can pledge allegience in reverse." 3.5/5

When I Talk To You - The song Mandy cowroted. Very lovely and and really reveals Mandy's beautiful voice. 4/5

I've been a fan of Mandy ever since her release of So Real, her first album. It's true, Mandy Moore doesn't get the credit she deserves for her singing. You don't see Mandy at the top of TRL or with the largest record sales in the world, but she's a great singer who has the potential of creating the quality albums she's been releasing, for many years to come.

OK CD, if you like pure pop.

Mandy Moore is good, if you like pure pop. Her voice is good, and everything, but I'm not a total pop person. But I admit buying it; I list [ ... read complete review ]
