Although I've always liked the other teen divas like Britney and Christina, I was never interested in Mandy Moore even after her debut hit "Candy" and her hit ballad "I Wanna Be With You." However, ever since this album came out, I began hearing a buzz about how great it is. It's strange because the album only managed to go gold and never even spawned a hit single yet upon purchasing it, i truly realized that it's one of the best albums to come out of the whole teen pop era of the late 90's into 2000/2001. It's very underrated and shows how talented this girl is. Three singles were released off of it being "Hand In My Pocket," "Crush," and "Cry" yet it's a shame none of them charted. "Cry" is a wonderful ballad also featured in Mandy's hit movie "A Walk To Remember." "Hand In My Pocket" is an awesome little dance track with a cool Middle Eastern vibe. "Crush" is nothing spectacular but is still a nice piece of ear candy.

The rest of the tracks are just as good. "Saturate Me" is a unique song and is a definite stand-out while "One-Sided Love" experiments with a more rock/pop vibe. "17" is a sweet, innocent ballad. Kinda makes you feel nostalgic. "Split Chick" might seem stupid by the title but actually isn't that bad. And finally the album ends with the show-stopper "When I Talk To You." Ordinarily I'd find a song like this sappy but it's hard not to relate to it and Mandy pulls it off so well.

I can't wait until Mandy's next album. This girl IS talented. She can act and sing and yet is a very genuine and sincere person. It's hard not to like her. BUY THIS ALBUM! It's worth every penny.
