The stand-out tracks here are "In My Pocket", "You Remind Me", "Cry", and "Crush". "In My Pocket has an excellent Middle Eastern beat. Sounds very foriegn and up-beat. "You Remind Me" is slower and sweeter, with wonderful INSTRUMENTS playing in the background (no, I'm not talking about the mechanical disco beats, this music IS real!). "Cry" is by far the most wonderful song on this album. Her voice is strong, yet soft. The rhythm is smooth and excellent and it has a deep message and lyrics. I love this song, it's so touching that you almost get tears in your eyes! "Crush" is more lighthearted and VERY relateable! It's very honest and sounds like something off her last album but with a more 'grown-up' sound to it. The let-downs? Only a few. "Split Chick" is too bouncy and playful. It really didn't fit in with the tone of the rest of the album. Neither did "Turn The Clock Around". "Saturate Me", "One Sided Love", "It Only Took A Minute", "Yo Yo", and "From Loving You" are good tracks, but they don't stand out as much as the ones previously mentioned. "When I Talk To You" is soft and sweet. It's good though, partially because Mandy actually co-wrote it! (I hear that she's writing most of the songs on her next album - be sure to check it out whenever it comes out!) Overall, Mandy did an excellent job on this spectacular album. Now this is pop that actually has a liscense to be called pop! QUALITY POP. Mandy now stands out of the pop princess crowd, I think that she should be crowned as the princess of pop rather than Britney Spears!
AVERAGE RATING: I'd give this album 4 1/2 stars. Mandy, I hope that your music continous to take this turn for the better!
