Let me start off by saying that Mandy Moore's new CD is really amazing. If you were expecting another bubblegum pop album from miss Mandy, think again. This album mixes pop with alternative and rock styles to give her a new, fresh sound. 1. In My Pocket - The first single, it uses a middle eastern beat. A fast, danceable song, but still different from other upbeat pop songs. 2. You Remind Me - Probably the most "pop like" song on the disc. Midtempo, your average pop song. 3. Saturate Me - This song uses a slight middle eastern vibe like IMP, but is slower and poetic. 4. One Sided Love - This song mixes pop beats with some more exotic sounds. A pretty edgy track. 5. 17 - One of my favorite songs! Really heartfelt and beautiful. A slow song. 6. Cry - This is a love ballad with soft instrumentals and vocals. Really pretty song. 7. Crush - This is the next single, also one of my favorites. Midtempo and probably could be played on other radio stations besides top 40. 8. Only Took A Minute - Uses the electric guitar, midtempo. Another one of my favorites. 9. Turn the Clock Around - Midtempo, really good song. 10. Yo-yo - Probably my favorite song. Midtempo/upbeat, a little bit of a rock edge in the vocals. 11. From Loving You - My least favorite, it has a little bit a of country feel to it. 12. Split Chick - Reminds me of the song "love shack" kinda sorta in a messed up way, haha. Upbeat and danceable. 13. When I Talk To You - A really soft, slow song, perfect for the last song. Reminds me of Jewel.

Overall, Mandy has a whole new sound and it really works for her. She should be more popular than the other pop artists. Although this album is still pop, it has an edge to it that should gain her new fans in the soft rock/alternative areas. Buy this CD, I really recommend it!!
