Overall, this was a great album. I picked up the "Candy" single in the summer of 1999 before Mandy had even taken off. I went into the record store looking for something new and fresh. At first I thought, "Here is this 15 year old girl trying to put R&B into Pop". But boy was I wrong. I got the CD for Christmas that year, and was taken away. My favorite tracks are "Quit Breaking My Heart" and "Love Shot". I would download a few of the tracks, maybe 2 or 3, because you'll get the general idea of the album from only a couple of songs. It's heavily synthisized, and the pop is highly R&B infused. Lots of pre programmed music but overall a strong debut from one of today's hottest artists. Lets face it, she's 17 right now and she sings, acts, models, writes, she's a talkshow host, an MTV VJ, and a spokesperson for Neutrogena. Not many 17 year old girls can keep up with that much, so you have to give her some credit.
