In October 1999, I picked up the single "Candy" at the local grocery store & fell in love with it. I always dreamed about getting this album, I couldn't wait to get it. And on Dec. 7th, 1999, I got it, right when it was released. I loved it. My fave was "So Real" & I was really hoping Mandy would release it as a single in North America, but she didn't. Months went by & I have to admit it sat unlisted to for a while, because I got tired of bubblegum pop there for a while. I just didn't like this album anymore. Now, recently, I got it back out, and I love it. It's weird how that happens sometimes, but I really loved it. I still do. Some of the best songs on here in my opinion are "So Real" (great beat & lyrics), "Candy" (fresh & very addicting), "What You Want" (I LOVE this song!), "Lock Me In Your Heart", & "Quit Breaking My Heart". Mandy was onlt 15 when this was released & she did such an awesome job. The music is so cool & u can really dance to this. It definetly cheers me up when I'm down & I'm sure I'll keep liking this off and on. I also still love the "Candy" video which is also included in this cd, not to mention the cool interview video which has the cool thing Mandy does to "What You Want". One of pop's greatest debuts for sure, 4 stars at least. So check it out, pop ain't so bad. Just take another listen.
