Marc Anthony is a superstar in the latin community. MARC ANTHONY is his first english album and it's awesome! First, Marc has a strong, beautiful, emotional voice. He sings with passion on every single song. On his debut, MARC ANTHONY, he bares his emotions mostly on beautiful ballads. This album is loaded with ballads but they're all well done. The sound is pop/adult contemporary, with a tinge of latin sounds. It begins with the amazing "when I dream at night" and ends with a salsa number called "da la vuelta." MARC ANTHONY also offers up the spanish version of his hit "I need to know". Marc did some writing on this album and he makes it as personal as possible. He's a romantic and it shines through on this album. Marc Anthony is one of the best singers in the world and his debut proves it hands down. This is one of the best albums of 1999.
