On this album, Marc intended to please both his English and Spanish-language fans, therefore he did covers of some songs in both languages. "I Need to Know" ("Dimelo") is a high-energy song splashed with a bit of Marc's trademark musical style, salsa, and the results are mesmerizing. Ballads such as "When I Dream At Night," and "You Sang to Me," shows Marc's ability to carry a tune without hearing a hint of an accent, and both are beautifully done.
Besides "I Need to Know," the song "Am I the Only One," is another of my favorite tracks on this fabulous album. He clearly shows that he has more rhythm than most ex-members of Menudo (surprisingly, Marc served as a vocal coach for this group when they were trying to break into the English-language market).
Marc is an artist in a class by himself. As the most talented, down-to-earth, and charismatic of all artists from the recent Latin explosion, Marc truly does Puerto Rico proud in everything he does. Almost like a Latin "Frank Sinatra," Mark versatility in adapting to newer musical styles clearly makes him a living legend. RMM Records must in tears (and debt) now that Marc's new home, Sony Records, has brought out the full potential he wanted to show the world but couldn't due to contract restraints.
Que viva Marc Anthony!
