This is a wonderful, well-produced album that I plan to enjoy for many years to come. I need to say, however, that I did not agree with your reviewer's assessment of this album, the comparisons that were made to performers who have in fact produced more than one lackluster album, and the sociological implications suggested. I am not of Latino descent, was raised in Asia, enjoy all kinds of music from opera to country to classical to hip hop to blues to jazz...and I definitely consider myself a "fan" of Marc Anthony's music. Whether the album is in Spanish or English, his voice comes through with depth, control, perfect pitch and sensuality. This specific album gives you a taste of both languages, and is a definite fusion of his love and understanding of Latin music with a wonderfully passionate voice. Both renditions of "I need to Know," "That's OK" and "Como Ella Me Quiere A Mi" radiate a joyous Latin rhythm make it impossible not to want to dance. I especially loved the quiet power of "You Sang To Me," and the poignancy in "How Could I." His music is directly reflective of who he is.

There was a reason Marc Anthony won the 1999 Grammy Award for "Best Tropical Latin Performance," and I don't think they chose him because he was a "suave, less jumpy alternative to Ricky Martin."
