O.K., so I admit it. I am one of those 'seasoned' Marillion fans. But I am also been a seasoned YES, ELP, PINK FLOYD, ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, 'PROG', etc. fan and not easily abused by most of the mainstream pretenious garbage that lines the CD store aisles today. Whether or not you know Marillion, this album will cause you to "rise above" the norm. When my wife and realized that there was even a slight chance that we would not see the Marillion.Com tour here in the U.S., we promptly bought two plane tickets to London (from D.C) and went to Shepherd's Bush Empire on November 20 to see the real thing. When they opened with 'Go!', we were completely satisfied; the concert could have ended after this song and we still would have gone home fully satisfied. Therefore, while I would tell you honestly that going to see Marillion in the UK is WELL WORTH the money, time, etc., the 'next best thing to being there' is nothing short of being able to enjoy this album on a good system here at home in the U.S. And if the tour is extended to this country, use the $ savings from your Marillion CD bought here on Amazon.Com towards the purchase of your tickets. By all means, "GO!".
