HEAVY & DEPRESSING
Review Score:

(8/10)
I haven't killed myself YET (and I don't think I will), so I guess that shows a little bit of common sense; common sense enough to spread some of the blame on others instead of taking it all in. People who hate themselves and don't spread some of the hate around outward usually end up killing themselves or comming awfully close.
This CD is pure negative energy. It contains a HEAVY sense of self-loathing but also spreads some of the blame towards other things, weather it be God or society in general, I'm not really sure.
And I don't have to be sure b/c this CD is a sonic-daydream. It's techno/metal sensibility makes it worthy of listening to even w/o the lyrics. The little bit of lyrical content I DO understand is disturbing kind of like a sonic-horror movie except it's not a movie, it's a CD.
If this were a soundtrack, the images would be that of one who dreams of killing someone with brute power and vengeance with little clips here and there of weird party scenes or something.
All in all, it's pretty hypocritical but still convincing nontheless. It's not intelligent, it's not "great poetry", it's just a soundtrack for people who "love hate" so to speak.
I can't think of anything else to say about this CD, really. I guess I've made my views pretty clear. Of course, the most rabid of "pop" music haters should stay away from this CD 'cause it isn't THAT creative, it still relies on old-synthesiser techniques, despite its integration with the guitar(s). And even the guitar is kind of a traditional instrument, being used and abused since 1962 or whenever (the year of The Beatles, which DEFINE pop and, in my opinion, are to be blamed for all music sounding the same like it does today and since God knows when).
Ok, bye, bye. Hope you "found this review helpful". Thanks for reading!
