There are those artists whose hype and image can surpass the musical credentials, and then there are those whose brilliance in both fields makes them shine brighter than the rest. Five stars indicates where I believe the man sits in that regard. If anything the image has detracted from the true brilliance of the all important songs on too many occasions so just to be safe on this deluxe version you get the songs and the pictures that went with them. Both are a feast for the senses. All the hits are here although I am sure due to the fanatisism that Marilyn Manson creates many will believe their personal favourite has been omitted. But after all this is a greatest hits in the truest sense, so enjoy it for that. A triumph of modern rock artistery in a period of dullness and empty threats MM snarls and entertains.
