The first song I heard of this album was mOBSCENE. I saw it on MTV. I admit I always looked beyond his creativity and just thought of him as a cheap thrill and a freak. Everyone used to say that he was a freak. Then I heard mOBSCENE and I thought, well maybe its not too bad... Then I heard This Is The New Sh*t. Then I immediatly bought this album. It is just amazing! This album is a new breed of music. "SWING METAL"!

I now change my mind about Marilyn Manson after listening to his albums and also watching the great documentary, Bowling For Columbine. I noticed that he is a very creative person and he is a genius! I think the only reason people don't like him because he speaks his mind and he wears the clothes he wants to wear. Parents don't like him because he likes to use his creativity in his songs and music vidoes and they never stop to think about how he is so creative.

Basically every song on this album is great.

2. This Is The New Sh*t- My favourite song on this album! 10/10
3. mOBSCENE- My 2nd favourite song on this album. Musically and lyrically this song is amazing. 10/10
4. Doll-Dagga Buzz-Buzz Ziggaty-Zag- I think this is what M.Manson was aiming for the most on this album. A new breed: Swing Metal. 9/10
5. Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth- I don't know why people are saying this song is boring. Its one of my favourites. 9.5/10
6.The Golden Age Of Grotesque- This song is different from the whole album and even M.Manson. Very dark but good. 8.5/10
7.(s)AINT- This song is pretty good. The lyrics are a bit off track. but i like it. 8/10
8. Ka-boom Ka-boom- This song is about record companies. At the time M.Manson was obviously mad at them. 8/10
9. Slutgarden- One of my favourite songs. Lyrically and musically. 9.5/10
10. (Spade)- This song is weird its not my favourite song I often skip it but it seems to be getting better. 7.5/10
11.Para-noir- This song is really weird.7/10
12.The Bright Young Things- pretty good. 8/10
13.Better Of Two Evils- I wish their was a music video for this. its about how people are so critical about him and other people.10/10
14.Vodevil- this song is amazing it gets stuck in your head. You will find yourself singing along helplessly.9/10
15. Obsequecy(The Death Of Art)- Outro. I read the little MM booklet and I think it has a burning piano in it.

This album is really opinionated. You may like it or you won't. For example- i listened to Mechanical Animals and then a year later i bought The Golden Age Of Grotesque. I liked it even though its different. If you listen to another album of his and listen to GAOG, you may not like it.
