A great recording, a great story

Mark Knopfler new album is, in a word, excellent. The entire album is a pleasure to hear and the quality of the recording is excellent. My copy is encoded in HDCD - I may just try and get an HDCD player to take advantage of the superior format.

The title track 'Sailing to Philadelphia' is about Mason & Dixon sailing up the Delaware River to Philadelphia to begin their trek to chart the Mason-Dixon line. When hearing the song I think about what a journey it must have been for two very different individuals to venture out into the unknown wilderness to survey a border. What an adventure it must have been!

Highly recommended.
