Hot album

I like this album and I'm giving it 4 stars for good tunecraft, funky rhythms and for the singer's distinctive voice which sets this relatively new American rock/pop band apart from less impressive rivals. Although I don't know much about Maroon 5, I do know that This Love is one of the catchiest pop songs of 2004, and it was inescapable during May - June - July this year. It reminds me of fun times spent travelling by bus around Canada and later California, when it would often be heard on the radio. Best songs here (in my opinion) are Must Get Out , which builds well to really good choruses, Secret (which has a good intro), the big radio hit She Will Be Loved (which is a gorgeous tune) and the terrific opener Harder To Breathe (which I think might also have been released as a single) .

This album, which is very hot right now, represents one of the key breakthrough hits of 2004, and will appeal to just about anyone who likes pop and rock music.
