It's interesting to read the opposing views of self-proclaimed Matthew Sweet fans regarding In Reverse. I also am a fan of Sweet and, with the exception of Blue Sky on Mars, believe that he's been one of the few consistently good power pop songwriters of the past decade. In Reverse is a clear return to form for Sweet. Many catchy well crafted songs and a CD totally worth owning. I think this album rivals and possibly even exceeds my previous favorite, 100% Fun.
