Outstanding black metal

I bought this CD and listened to the whole thing in its entirity as soon as i got home. The whole CD is an amazing piece of metal work, way ahead of its time when it was released. Euronymous was an excellent guitarist, one of the best in black metal. After listening to this, im sorry hes gone. The guitar playing is very fluent but also has a hard edge to it. Hellhammer's drumming is very fast and never misses a beat. Atilla's vocal ability is amazing, its like he can sing and growl at the same time. My favorite songs on this one are "Life Eternal" and "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas". Give it a listen, you just might be surprised at how great it is. Now i want to get "Live in Leipzig" so i can hear what Dead sounded like.
