One of the greatest,Dramatic, concept albums ever
Review Score:

(10/10)
I finally bought"Bat out of Hell" last week after waiting 24 years.I loved the music I heard on the rock stations, but not enough to buy the album, but after seeing the VH1 special on Meatloaf, and the Bio afterwards,I had to buy this masterpiece.First of all,Jim Steinman is a Genus, and this album has his guts and soul all over it,and Meat has a fantastic singing voice. This guy can sing anything, from hard rock,to ballads,to opera. The CD starts out with "Bat out of hell," were the music takes us into all kinds of directions, then into the well know single,"You took the words right out of my Mouth." One of the most beutifull ballads, the next cut,"Heaven can wait," is my favorite, with Jim featured on Piano."I always liked,"Two out of Three ain't bad." I've felt the very same way so many times, then the masterpiece duet with Ellen Foley,"Paradise by the Dashboard light." I love the line,"Let me sleep on it,and give you my answer in the morning." That has got to be the funiest,tr!ue lines ever in the history of rock and roll. The CD ends with the great,"For Crying out Loud." The beutifull piano, and Meatloafs soft vocals, keeps building to the most dramatic song from the record, with perfect Orchestration arranged by Steve Margoshes. If you are a music collector of the classics,"Bat out of hell" is a must for your record collection.
