Bat Out of Hell: Farthest Thing from "Loaf"ing

Bat Out of Hell is one of the greatest albums in rock history. Meat Loaf belts out Jim Steinman's songs with flair, emotion, and his secret weapon: one of the most powerful voices in music...ever. (No wonder Steinman worked well with Celine Dion) Not only that, but Todd Rundgren put together one of the all-time great bands to back up Mr. Loaf, including Rundgren's own Utopia, members of the E Street Band, and Edgar Winter. The only good song on the album is All Revved Up with No Place to Go. All the others are GREAT. For Crying Out Loud is some of the most beautiful nine minutes in rock and roll, and how many people have never felt what the singer is feeling when Meaty sings 2 Out of 3 Aint' Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light? All rock fans: Ignore the bad reviews and get the best hard rock-meets-opera album ever!-AJR
