In 1992, my life changed forever. I was only 7 when I was introduced to this album, and I can honestly say it changed my perspective of music forever. The tracks on this album steered me into the world of music, and eventually, it shaped me into a musician.

A few comments on the album itself: it's not as speedy as the previous albums, but make no mistake, it is every bit as aggressive. Don't be tricked into listening to people say this is Megadeth's musical falling point... at any given point with Mustaine, Ellefson, Menza, and Friedman, Megadeth was never falling. That lineup, I think, was the strongest, tightest, and heaviest.

You will need to hear the album for yourself to experience the rush... some highlights off this album are Skin O' My Teeth, Symphony of Destruction (AWESOME guitar solo), Sweating Bullets, Countdown to Extinction, High Speed Dirt, and Ashes in Your Mouth; although I must admit, there isn't a single bad song on this album.
