Megadeth

Countdown To Extinction

Another Perfect one.

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
This is an absoulute amazing album in all ways. The mini drum solo on the first song hits you like a baseball bat in the face. And the rest of the album goes on in the same heavy mannor. This is a dark and heavy album with lyrics about paranoia, suicide atempts, greed and loneliness but the lyrics are allways well written and serious and there is allways a thought behind every song. The production is great, this might be the most well produced album of all times and it is over 10 years old! How did they manage to do that back then. Metallicas Black album is also a huge improvement since Justice but this is perfect. The songs are all special and hellish good. Rust in Peace is maybe more melodic and freneticly played but this album has another strength, the ballence. Every single song is placed in the right possition and none of them are too long or too short. Megadeth was still not commercial in any aspect but this album is a little easier to listen to than RIP. It?s very hard to say wich song is the best one, but one thing is for sure. Ashes In Your Mouth has the best lyrics. Read them and think it over.
