Megadeth's Peace Sells...but who's buying? came out the same year as Metallica's Master of Puppets and Slayer's Reign in blood and it smashed both excellent releases to pieces. I'll be honest when it comes to metal, Megadeth will always be first in my book, but there is reason for this. Dave Mustaine lyrics are simply mean and nasty, for example in Wake up dead he talks about slipping into bed with his wife after having cheated on her with is other, other lover. In my humble opinion, he is the angression of Hetfield blended with the nasty and dark thought of Tom Ayarna. It's easy to see why this is such a great album, The Conjuring, Wake up dead, Devil's island, the title track, heck my last words were Dave sings you next victim, you next to die kept me up at night. This album is sort of like a horror movie, Chris Polland's riffs are perfect for the atmosphere of the record, not too flashy but too dreary, and Dave's vocie sounds best here,I agree with those who think his voice got worse and worse later on. Don't pass up the chance to get this one and remember this : If you need the strengh the conjuring OBEY!!!
