It's simple if you don't like heavy rock music then you are not going to like this, if all you want to listen to is Thrash metal then you are not going to like this.
If you are looking for sredding riffs then you will not like this, if however you are looking for a well paced rock album with awesome vocal harmonies, fantastic riffs and plenty of diversity then you will be at home with Risk.

It's agressive in places without being psychotic, the and theme of dimensia is often created by the bizarre sound effects, instruments and wall of sound production.
With that said in places it is heavily sound effect laiden which again is something that may put metal/Megadeth purists off.
Unlike Metallica's recent effort (St Anger 2003) Megadeth went off in a whole new direction for this record but kept the same musical attributes they had before, the solo's are there and of course Marty Friedman is there so it is in many places still a treat for the ears.

My advice to you is simply to listen to it and then make your mind up, no words can help you with this record just listen to it from start to finish and decide.
If you just pick one track with a pessimistic mind then you are cheating yourself out of a decent record.
