this album is definately different, and different can be good. but when the band themselves say its a one time thing i planned on keeping an open mind to enjoy it. the best song on this album is without a doubt "insomnia" with its fast and heavy guitar riffs alongside the addition of a violin. another song thats great is "seven" which is obviously about sins and such. some of the better slow jams are "ecstacy" and "wanderlust". the somewhat repetitive lyrics make the music a bit uninteresting at times, but Megadeth's energy as always can carry anything.
If you worship the radio(which i dont), then get this album. if you worship Megadeth and totally respect them as a band(which i definetely do) then get this album. if you are like those fans who ditched Metallica when load came out, then stay away please. you people arent fans anyways. all in all, this album is a definite change from megadeths previous releases, but if you can keep an open mind then get it because it jams in a different Mega-fashion. and watch for "the world needs a hero" in May when Megadeth returns to the ultimate jams once again.
