I'm a very disappointed Megadeth fan

I hung in there with Megadeth through their entire career, but unless something very drastic happens, I think I'm going to hop off with this album.

I absolutely understand the need to grow, change and experiment--it's just that unfortunately Megadeth has gone in a musical direction that diverges with my tastes. I listened to Risk and found it to be too lightweight, too commercial and generally more "mainstream" than any of their previous efforts. I should point out, however, that both production and sound quality as captured in the studio are at the same high levels Megadeth fans have come to expect.

I'm truly very sorry to say that this album will not be in the rotation at my house as I've enjoyed Megadeth for years and years.

Hey... to each his own--maybe you'll like the direction Mustaine & Co. are going... why not take a quick test listen and see?
