Reckoning Day 2/5
This song is based on a killer riff played during each verse in the usual 'verse chorus verse chorus' song structure. The lyric is about hate and revenge and based around emotions. I don't find the lyrics very deep or clever and it kind of ruins an otherwise good track.
Train Of Consequences 3/5
Fast paced song based around a clever riff. Catchy chorus and harmonica at the end. Lyrics are nothing special.
Addicted To Chaos 4/5
Mid-tempo melodic song with multilayered vocals at ending part. Emotional lyrics that are clever this time. Includes a guitar solo which is nothing to mention really.
A Tout Le Monde 4/5
Melodic ballad that is part in French. Powerful and emotional.
Elysian Fields 5/5
Epic song with religous context. Guitar melody works particularly good with chorus. Multilayered vocals at encore.
The Killing Road 5/5
Song based on the constant roadtrips of musicians on tour. Clever lyrics in verses and a chorus that's really annoying at first but once you accept it after a few listens it makes the song even better. Killer solo at end.
Blood Of Heroes 2/5
Weak song about superheroes.
Family Tree 4/5
Emotional ballad about family trauma. Intricate melody and clever lyrics.
Youthanasia 2/5
Song about todays youth. Weak vocal performance and slow paced tempo. Tvisted chorus saves the song.
I Thought I Knew It All 1/5
Song about life experience. Megadeth pop, doesn't work.
Black Curtains 2/5
Heaviest song on the record. It's about death and darkness. Nothing special.
Victory 4/5
Self-reflecting song on their career so far. Lyrics is a play on words with the titles of previous songs linked together. Fast paced tempo and strong vocal melody. Second part of song is filled with killer solo exchanges between the guitarists.
