"Youthanasia" is just an all-around, great CD. The disc gets off to a fantastic start with "Reckoning Day" - a song that begins with a thunderous drum and guitar intro.The discs second track, "Train Of Consequences" has to be one of the more impressive songs on the album. The guitar intro begins hard and edgy and takes the song off to some cool rhythms that are held throughout the tune. One of the better moments in the song is during the chorus while Mustaine sings and continues to play quarter-note triplets simultaneously."Addicted To Chaos" opens with a cool drum intro as the guitar rhythms fade in. This being another great highlight of the CD.The overall guitar work and lyric writting on this CD are truly incredible."A Tout Le Monde" is a haunting-memorium song that I feel is one of the better tracks.The title track "Youthanasia" speaks a lot of truth about us as people that are 'left out to dry' in many instances, which explains the album cover. This song alone is a definitely worth listening to.One of the more unique songs I have run across is the last song on this disc......"Victory".Mustaine took song and album titles from each of Megadeth recordings and incorporated them into one song. It all came out really cool how the titles fitted in the song.Here's an an excerpt, with the song titles in parentheses.......Now one day I started telling everyone that "killing is my buisness..." and I was hung like a martyr for "looking down the cross" my "skull beneath the skin"......And that is just the beginning of the song.I feel this album only proves how great a songwriter that Mustaine is. He, in my opinion, is underrated for his songwritting abilities.
