Nas opens his soul on this album. while recording he lost his mother to a battle with cancer. as with most of his albums there are two parts to it. the classic hip hop in the beginning with beautiful word play and story telling. but towards the end of this one it get's deeper. nas let's you inside. 'Dance' is a tribute to his mother Ann Jones. He mourns her but at the smae time celebrates her life and thanks her for making him the man he is now becoming. towards the end his father Olu Dara finishes it off with the harmonica and you can visualize the notes raising to the Heavens. Beautiful and very comforting for anyone who has lost a loved one.
