Nas

Nastradamus

Nastradamus is totally slept on

I feel as though "Nastradamus" will be a CD that many do not respect until Nas himself is out of the rap game. Although he offers not as much spice as "i am," he brings the other side of his lyrical abilities into "Nastradamus." Much of the album is a mental dwelling examining the oft forgotten spiritual side of existence. "Some Of Us Have Angels," depicts the ongoing spiritual fight that goes on beyond our five sense interpretation and how this fight intersects our lives everyday. He provides street knowledge above simply the "be weary of enemies whom you can see" advisement. Of course, he couldn't leave out the everyday hood situations, but it is the force that intervenes with the situations that he chooses to delve into here. "Come And Get Me," is a great track, where Nas puts the telescope down, and keeps things on the physical level where his nemesis' can know that he is not lyrically deficient when it comes to the run-of-the-mill street rap that has seemingly consumed present day artistry. This album has everything that a rap scholar could want and more...
Great Job, Nas...
