Some people dont understand this album

Many true Nas critics simply look down on this album. With tracks like "You Owe Me" and "Big Girl" prove that Nas is not the Nasty Nas he once was. People have to understand Nas is a mature street poet and not the raw emcee most rappers are when they first hit the scene.

Nas' lyrics prove Nas is one of the greatest emcees of our time. Nas deserves a lot of credit for bringing hip-hop to the phenomenon it has become.

I would have to actually give Nastradamus something between 3.5 and 3.75 stars. There are tracks that shine "Nastradamus" "Last Words" and "New World" to name a few of the flawless tracks, but then again there are weak cuts "Some of Us Have Angels" "Shoot Em Up" and "Big Girl" which are more for the mainstream audience. That is the drawback of Nas.

Nastradamus is better than the average hip-hop album that came out in the 99-00 era of the hip-hop scene. The current Jay Z and Nas beef is something that shouldn't be compared due to Nas is a better emcee by far. Nastradamus is probably the least best album from Nas, but that doesn't mean this album is not good. Worth the money for some of the tracks. Just keep in mind this is no "Illmatic" or "It Was Written" Nas has just elevated his form of emceeing to a different degree.
