Illmatic was one of the best rap album of all time, no rapper today will be able to make a record like "illmatic", and nas will never reach that level of creativity again , "stillmatic" is still a classic, let's go to each song's rating

ether: in this song he disses jay-z and the whole roc-a-fella records, the beat is excellent, the lyrics are good ( 8.5/10)

got ur self A....: excellent chorus and as always nas's lyrics are the best ( 8.8/10)

smoking: one of the best here, he starts with an arabic statement whihc is BISM ALLAH AL-RAHMAN AL-RAHEEM, it really surprised me when he said that, the chorus is good and so are the lyrics( 9.1/10)

you're da man: well the chorus is kinda weak, good lyrics , he explains about the life and stuff (8.4/10)

rewind: the name should explain how this song is, he tells a story from end to beggining!!! there is no chorus here (8.7/10)

one mic: this song really makes you nod your head , he starts slow then he starts to go fast and strong ! ( 9.0/10)
