this cd will shut anyone up who says that nas is a "light rapper" with this new age of hip hop of just screaming into the mic with no purpose. nas has got the purpose in each and every song. stillmatic, the song, starts off great with him telling us that hes back. ether, what can i say, one of the greatest dis songs of all time! got urself has got one of the best beats to any hip hop song ever. smokin' and u da man are on the slower side but still bring the excitement of just listenin to what this guy has to say! rewind, unbelieveable. who could have thought to rap a story BACKWORDS!!! next is my personal fav. one mic, wow! this song has got everything from slow to fast to slow again. it is just great. 2nd childhood and destroy and rebuild at first felt weak to me but after hearing it a few times i like as well. flyest is not goin to be a "great" song but it has everything u need to hold the cd together. rule seems like a follow up to the it was written classic, if i ruled the world. man it is great, again the beats just show it all. my country is like rule in the fact that he uses all the wisdom in the world to write it. what goes around is a great way to end it with "poison" on his mind. every ghetto is the only song that i found weak. to sum it up! this cd is possibly THE GREATEST hip hop cd ever. of course u have to look at illmatic as the greatest but this cd is so great because it never slows up. i never have to skip tracks due to the fact i dont like them. i love every single one. if u dont have this GET IT!!!!
